The World Economic Forum presented the Global Social Mobility Index. 82 countries were assessed according to various parameters, including the level of access to modern technologies.

Russia took 44th place in this indicator (Denmark is in first place), gaining 73.6 points out of 100. In particular, the following key parameters were assessed:

  • the adult population who uses the Internet (80.9%);
  • availability of access to mobile networks 3G or higher (78%);
  • availability of fixed broadband (22.2%) and mobile (87.3%) Internet access.
