A center for combating cybercrimes, telephone spam and phishing will be created in Russia as part of the ‘Digital Economy’ national project, TASS reports with reference to Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev.
In addition, according to Shadayev, for the purpose of countering cyber threats, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media begins independent testing of all state information systems for security holes in order to exclude even the smallest external risks of disruption of these systems’ operation.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media announced the creation of an interdepartmental working group to combat telephone fraud, which includes representatives of the largest mobile operators, credit institutions, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Security Service, Roskomnadzor and the Bank of Russia.
