A data center covering an area of 20 hectares will be created in the Dubna Special Economic Zone (located in the Moscow Region) in 2024. The related agreement was signed at SPIEF by the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov and Deputy General Director for Economic Affairs of the MonArch Group of Companies Tigran Tsaturyan.
Specialists will develop the technology and systems for storing, processing and transmitting data, develop and implement related software during the project. Construction of the center will begin in the third quarter of 2022. RUB 5 billion (equivalent to $87 million) will be invested in the project.
According to the forecasts of the Association of Data Center Industry Participants, the data center market in the Moscow Region will grow by 5-10% annually in terms of the number of racks and by 10-15% in terms of revenue during the next five years.
