A network of centers, from which unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be launched and monitored, will be created in Russia. The project was approved by the Aeronet working group of the National Technology Initiative. Within 5-6 years, such centers can appear across the country; investments in the first three will amount to 50 million rubles.
Customers will have access to the UAVs via a sharing service using a mobile application.
The logistics center will include a landing site and facilities for performing routine maintenance and for the local data center.
Experts say this is a promising project, but they also warn that legislative restrictions and security issues may become a barrier.
