An intelligent security system can be introduced at Vnukovo airport in 2021. This was reported by “Agency Moscow” with reference to the press service of the airport.

At the beginning of 2020, Vnukovo started to cooperate with Rostec on the issues of transport and aviation security. In particular, an intelligent target detection and recognition system using neural networks developed by the Ruselectronics holding has been installed and is now operating in test mode at apron No. 1 of the airport. The design works for the installation of the system and implementation in the airport security systems are scheduled for 2021.

Earlier, Ruselectronics completed the certification of an intelligent security system for aviation infrastructure facilities. The new development detects and recognizes objects using neural networks even in complete darkness. Obtaining a certificate allows to start commercial delivery to Russian airports.
