Apple Inc. has opened a representative office in Russia. Thus, the company fulfilled all the requirements of the onshoring law for foreign Internet companies. Earlier, Apple registered a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website and posted feedback forms for Russian users.

Spotify also opened a representative office in Moscow. Earlier, the company registered a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website.

The law came into force on January 1, 2022. It obliges foreign IT companies with a daily audience of 500,000 or more people in the Russian Federation to create an office in Russia, register a personal account on the Roskomnadzor website, and place an electronic form on their website for feedback from Russian users.

For failure to comply with the requirements, the companies face partial or complete blocking, a ban on distributing advertisements about themselves and placing their own advertisements on such resources by Russian advertisers, a ban on receiving payments from Russian individuals and legal entities, and labeling content published on the network.
