An automated information system was created in Moscow to control the work of all utilities. It has been implemented in the city services management center, which ensures the operation of about 30 city’s life systems, including heating, energy and gas supply systems and others.
The developed system receives data on approximately 1,000 indicators from 50 sources, for example, from utility providers, supervisory authorities, telemetry devices and city residents. The received data (about 60 thousand events daily) is ranked according to their criticality and is sent to the center’s analysts.
Specialists monitor deviations from normal operation, analyze the causes of incidents, evaluate the use of resources and the performed work. After processing, the information is displayed on the video wall in the form of widgets, maps and video stream in the situation room, and is also sent to the city authorities.
According to the forecasts of the developers, automation, centralization of data collection and transmission will reduce the time to resolve incidents by at least 25%. Analysis of statistical data will also help reduce the number of emergency situations in the future.
