CODD Digitizes More than 6 Thousand km of Moscow Streets

As part of the creation of a digital twin of Moscow, the Traffic Management Center of Moscow's Government (CODD) has completed the digitization of 6.8 thousand km of streets with all transport infrastructure facilities.

This will make it possible to better predict the effects of road construction, readjustment of traffic lights and changes in traffic patterns, the Department of Transport of the capital clarifies. It is also reported that:

  • created 1.5 million passports of transport objects (traffic lights, signs, steles, etc.);
  • 14 TB is the volume of finished panoramas;
  • 2.9 million is the number of shooting points, while panoramas are created every three meters.

Earlier it was reported that the creation of a digital model of Moscow streets is planned to be completed in the first half of 2022.
