Moscow-based Cognitive Pilot will develop a computer vision system for trams operated by the Chinese railway operator FITSCO. The first phase of the project is to develop and implement an AI-based Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

The system will automatically adjust the speed and react to obstacles when there is no action from the driver. In the future, the companies expect to create a fully autonomous tram prototype.

Cognitive Pilot and FITSCO also plan to jointly engage in research and development in this area. They expect the partnership to accelerate the development of AI solutions and make it more cost-effective.
