Information & Computer Technologies Industry Association (APKIT) proposed to create an IT ombudsman institute in Russia as part of the second package of measures to support the industry.
Entrepreneurs need protection from undue harassment. In addition, the IT ombudsman can work to increase the satisfaction of companies with the conditions for doing business in Russia, the association believes.
The press service of the Ministry of Digita Development told the publication that the department included the APKIT proposal in the draft of the second package of measures to support the IT industry, the documents were sent to the government. One of Izvestia's interlocutors, participating in the discussion of the second package of measures to support the IT industry, noted that all the proposals were finalised, now the documents are being coordinated with the federal executive authorities, and they are expected to be consolidated in the form of regulatory documents within the next two months.
The discussion with the business of the second package of measures to support the IT business took place on March 18 at a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
