At a meeting on the implementation of federal and industry projects using artificial intelligence technologies, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev noted that an increase in the number of tasks performed using AI will lead to an increase in the number of challenges for state security.

This is not a reason to block the relevant work, but, on the contrary, just an excuse to carry it out with renewed vigor and special attention. (...) For all states this is a priority topic and, of course, we are talking about creating a reliable system to protect people, business, and the state from various information threats, including cyber fraud, the problems with which have become more and more serious during the pandemic.
