Fare payment system based on facial recognition Face Pay is planned to be introduced at the ticket offices of the Moscow metro. The head of the Moscow Department of Transport Maxim Liksutov said that the function of paying for travel by face scanning will be implemented not only at the turnstiles, but also at the ticket offices.

Technology is undergoing testing at the moment, more than 2 thousand passes have already been completed. In the spring of 2021, turnstiles with pay-by-face function will appear at all stations of the Moscow metro and will be be optional for passengers, not mandatory.
