iFarm, a startup developing automated vertical farms for growing greens, has raised $4 million in the seed round. The lead investor is Gagarin Capital that invested $1 million in the project last year. The company will use the attracted funds to develop iFarm Growtune IT platform intended for managing vertical farms. Also a crowdinvesting platform will be launched on the basis of the SaaS platform. With its help, the company will attract funding from banks, leasing companies and individuals.
Earlier the company announced the commissioning of the first stage of a large vertical farm in Moscow.
