Mail.Ru Group will change its name to VK Group. According to the company’s CEO Boris Dobrodeyev, all services of the ecosystem will not be renamed, but they will be connected under a single style.
“VK is now a single brand for the entire company. Unlike Mail.ru Group, it will be presented not only at the corporate level, but also in our products ”, Dobrodeyev clarified.
He added that the oldest and most recognizable brands will retain their names, but will receive a visual link to the new name. The same applies to services created in partnerships. VKontakte social network and My.Games will retain their brands. At the same time, the group intends to create a gaming platform "VK Games" focused on the Russian market.
The company will also rebrand all promotional products. Some b2b products will also get new names. They plan to completely "streamline" all brands within the next year.

VK is one of Russia’s most recognisable online brands, with users spending more than 1.1 billion minutes a day on the VKontakte social network, often referred to as Russia’s Facebook. In 2014, Mail.ru Group became the sole proprietor of the social network.
