The Government of the Russian Federation has approved almost all measures to support the telecom industry, which were prepared by the Ministry of Digital Development together with market participants.
In particular, the approved list included providing preferential loans, a reduction in the income tax rate, the suspension of the execution of the Yarovaya Law for a year, and a proposal for a “fair indexation of tariffs”.
Experts from the ministry explained that the idea of a moratorium on the dismantling of equipment of telecom operators, which was not included in the list of measures taken, would be finalized and included in the next package of measures for supporting the industry.
The fact that the Ministry of Digital Development prepared support measures for the telecom industry was reported in early March. The measures will ensure the sustainable operation of the infrastructure and help operators to restrain the growth of prices for their services.
