MegaFon’s service revenue in the fourth quarter of 2021 increased by 7.4% and was estimated at $854 million (84 billion rubles). The revenue for the year was $3.21 billion (316 billion rubles). Net profit in the fourth quarter increased by 639.6% to $359.1 million (32.5 billion rubles). At the end of 2021 it was $727.2 million (66 billion rubles).
The main drivers of service revenue growth were mobile data communication (the number of users of services in this area grew by 5.6% over the year), content services (including the services of START), ICT projects, M2M (Machine-to-Machine) services and analytical services based on big data.
The operator’s subscriber base in Russia increased by 5.7% compared to the same period in 2020 and contains 74.4 million subscribers. The growth in LTE segment was 16.1%.
