The Mikron company has launched the production of an NFC tag that can be used in the Fast Payments System. It “meets all modern security standards, is resistant to mechanical damage and does not require a special reader”.
The tag is based on a Russian physical microcontroller - the only Russian microchip that meets international standards. The chip transmits data at the 13.56 MHz frequency, providing contactless transmission of information at a distance of up to 10 cm.
The chip is used in RFID tags for marking a wide range of objects, including wood, metal, glass, plastic, paper. According to Anton Starkov, director of RFID and IT projects at Mikron, the tag is an RFID sticker that can be attached to any surface.
