Ministry of Digital Development Proposes Allocation of $134 Million to Support IT Companies in 2022

The Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation has proposed allocation of $138.4 million (14 billion rubles) from the Reserve Fund to support IT companies this year. The money in the form of grants will be distributed by three foundations:

  • The Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere (the Bortnik Foundation) will receive an additional subsidy of $19.7 million (2 billion rubles) in 2022 to support projects of small enterprises in the field of digital solutions
  • The Foundation for Development of the Center for Elaboration and Commercialization of New Technologies (the Skolkovo Foundation) will receive extra $11.8 million (1.2 billion rubles) for “balancing the consequences of restrictive measures”.
  • It is planned to allocate $106.8 million (10.8 billion rubles) to the Russian Foundation for Information Technology Development (RFRIT).

Earlier, it was reported that the Russian radio electronics segment in 2022-2024 could receive extra 900 billion rubles. The funds will be provided to the Advanced Technologies Foundation, the Industrial Development Foundation, Rostec, etc.
