The compulsory health insurance policy (MHI) will go digital from next year. This was announced by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.
"From 2022, citizens will be able to abandon a paper-based medical insurance policy in favor of a register entry in the system of the federal CHI fund," said the head of the Ministry of Health.
He noted that the formation of the document will take place together with the appearance of data in the registry office, either automatically at birth or upon obtaining Russian citizenship.
Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Science announced the emergence of electronic passports in Moscow and two more regions of Russia by the end of 2022.
