The Russian government changed the official abbreviated name of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media from “Minkomsvyaz” to “Mintsifry”. Corresponding changes were made to the regulation on the ministry.

The government also vests the Mintsifry with authority in the field of state regulation of the work of certification centers, trusted third parties and verification of their compliance with the requirements of the law “On electronic signature”. The ministry acquired such powers after the adjustment of the federal legislation.
