During the CIPR conference, Moscow demonstrated new functions of the digital twin integrated into the city video surveillance system. AI algorithms were also introduced into the digital twin, which made it possible to superimpose the video stream from cameras on the 3D model of the capital. Moreover, a dynamic layer has been introduced in the digital twin. It displays the movement of special equipment that removes construction debris. Designing of the location of the cellular communications infrastructure has also began this year.
The Digital Twin project is an exact 3D copy of Moscow with 5,000 layers of data. The project is based on the photogrammetry model of the city. More than 16 million aerial photographs were used to create the model. In total, more than 3,200 square km of the city are displayed on the virtual map, and the model is complemented by panoramas of roads and streets stretching for more than 13 thousand km.
