Russia developed a national standard for AI in clinical medicine. The document was prepared by the experts of Diagnostics and Telemedicine Center together with “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare” subcommittee, which is a part of technical committee 164 “Artificial Intelligence”.

The first of the seven parts of the standard has already been edited. It regulates the methodological basis of the clinical trials process, the procedures for conducting clinical trials, accuracy indicators, auditing and quality control of medical intelligent systems.

Intelligent systems are aimed at optimizing the work of diagnosticians, automating routine work, providing information support and introducing other options that help doctors. Without unified regulatory and technical standards approved by the professional community on a consensus basis, the practical implementation of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector is impossible.
