New Russian satellites will be equipped with Russian microelectronic modules instead of imported chips. However, the satellites that will be launched within the next two years will still have imported chips built into them.
According to the explanations from Nikolay Testoyedov, the CEO of JSC Information Satellite Systems Reshetnev, in the future, domestic satellites will be produced using the Russian component base, but it will not be possible to completely replace foreign chips with similar microcircuits produced in the Russian Federation. According to the expert, 90-95% of the components for new satellites have already been found in the Russian component base.
