Mobile operators do not agree with the proposal of the Ministry of Digital Development to limit the number of SIM cards per corporate subscriber to 100. According to MTS, Beeline and Tele2, the proposal, which is included in the amendments to the Communications Act, does not take into account the peculiarities of business in some areas (for example, retail or logistics).
Spokeperson from MTS noteed in the comment to the document that “in federal retail with a high turnover of personnel telephone numbers are assigned to each sales point/office, not to a specific employee”. Beeline proposes to increase the maximum number of SIM cards per one employee to 1 thousand. The experts of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media believe the increase in the number of SIM cards may give rise to a new wave of telephone fraud.
“Practice shows that an employee does not need more work SIM cards. Ordinary users of communication services can register an unlimited number of SIM cards for themselves,” the experts of the Ministry explained.
