State and some commercial pharmacies in Moscow have started accepting prescriptions for drugs using the QR code since February. This was reported by the official telegram channel of the Moscow operational headquarters with reference to the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Social Development Anastasia Rakova

The prescription is signed electronically by the doctor and will be valid for both concessional drugs and those sold at full price. Prescribed medications can be obtained by presenting the QR code on the smartphone screen.

In total, over 750 pharmacy outlets accept electronic prescriptions in Moscow. Pharmacy chains including Rigla, 36.6, Gorzdrav, Bud Zdorov and Zhivika participate in the project.
