Russian state corporation Rosatom is considering the possibility of acquiring a controlling stake in MCST, the developer of processors Elbrus.
The total cost of the company is estimated at $68-95 million (5-7 billion rubles). Rosatom has already carried out due diligence (the procedure for drawing up an objective view of the investment object) and is “preparing for the start of the transaction”, according to Kommersant newspaper. In this case, the decision to purchase can be made before the end of the year.
In turn, the CEO of MCST, Alexander Kim, did not confirm the information about the deal. Rosatom declined to comment.
