Rosatom has carried out a lot of work to create the first prototype of a quantum computer already in 2021. TASS wrote about this сiting Ilya Rebrov, Deputy Director General for Economics and Finance of the state corporation.

“We have signed an agreement with the government on quantum computing, we have a detailed program until at least 2024. This year we expect to make the first prototype of a five-qubit quantum computer,” - he said.

Rosatom announced the launch of a project to create a Russian quantum computer in November 2019. The cost of the project is estimated at 24 billion rubles.
