Roskomnadzor announced it would remove requirements restricting access to Telegram messenger.

In Russia the messenger has been officially blocked since April 16, 2018.

Earlier, we found out how Telegram would develop after abandoning TON and whether it was necessary to stimulate the independent development of Facebook, LinkedIn and Skype analogs. Then 54% of respondents answered that nothing would change, and 8% supposed that the messenger would be closed.

Later, Pavel Durov called on users to collect fraudulent advertisements on Facebook that used his name, and also criticized Apple and Google for charging commission from in-app purchases.

According to TGStat data for 2019, Moscow is the leader among Russian cities in using Telegram. 36% of the messenger’s users come from Moscow.
