Avtomatika сoncern (part of Rostec), Kaskad and the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCY) will develop a line of secure cryptoprocessors for the Internet of things.
MTUCI will develop software and integrate cryptographic algorithms, while Avtomatika will certify a family of cryptoprocessors, conduct case studies and sell products. Kaskad will develop the topology of the processors, test the products and perform the final configuration.
Specialists also note that separate chips for encrypting information will protect data from unauthorized access.
A cryptoprocessor is a separate system on a chip, “a computer within a computer”. It converts data in such a way that it can only be decrypted on the original computer, using the same software that was originally used.
