The Ministry of Digital Development announced the start of the project that combines the flows of anonymized data from government agencies — GosData.hub. It systematizes the storage and processing of information for government analytics services, simplifies the preparation of reports for government agencies and budgetary organizations.
De-identified data will enter the lake, and de-identification will be carried out by the provider. “GosData.hub will combine de-identified data of authorities at all levels and will make it possible to carry out advanced analysis. First of all, we will launch analytics services for IT and communications sectors,” Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev explains. According to Shadayev, the state will also motivate businesses to provide de-identified data in certain areas. “The exchange of data will be bilateral: anonymized data from state data sets can also be used by businesses to develop their own solutions,” the head of the Ministry noted.
Federal State Autonomous Institution Research Institute Voskhod will become the main platform for creating the national data lake.
The project is scheduled for 2022-2024, and the system will be put into trial operation in 2023. At the start, the data sets collected in the GosData.hub will be available to government agencies, and later businesses will be able to access them. For this purpose, experts will create a data market - one of the public contours of the National Data Management System.
