Russia to Create a Unified Digital Platform for Science

A unified service platform for science, which will provide access to the profiles of researchers, as well as facilitate interaction with the real economy, will be launched in Russia, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. The creation of such a platform is part of the strategy for the digital development of domestic science and higher education.

According to the document, by 2030, within the framework of the platform, the government will create a single ecosystem of services and services for joint research, which will provide access to international databases and support measures. The Ministry of Education and Science will be in charge of creating the system.

“Portfolio” service and collective interaction in scientific projects are expected to be implemented later this year. By 2024 datasets of marked-up documents "State Dissernet", "Relevance of Research" will be launched.

On December 25, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding the Year of Science and Technology in Russia in 2021. The government program for the development of domestic science and technologies, which started this year, was estimated at around $13.5 billion (1 trillion rubles), according to Chernyshenko.
