The government has increased grant support for Russian IT companies. Now they will be able to cover up to 80% of the project costs with the help of grants. Previously, this figure did not exceed 50%. v

It is expected that the measure will accelerate import substitution, mitigate the negative effects of sanctions and prevent the outflow of IT specialists to foreign countries.

Earlier, it was reported that $257.4 million (21.5 billion rubles) would be allocated to support the IT industry in 2022. $167.6 million (14 billion rubles) of this amount will be provided as grants, another $17.9 million (1.5 billion rubles) will be allocated for preferential mortgage loans for IT specialists. Part of the funds will go to subsidize the interest rate on loans for companies working in the field of digital technologies.
