Sberbank announced the closure of the deal to acquire 100% of Jivosite Inc, the Moscow-based JivoChat customer service platform developer that operates in Moscow and in Washington, DC.

The founders of the platform, Timur Valishev and Nikolai Ivannikov, will continue to work in the company as the CEO and CTO, respectively. The deal was made for an undisclosed fee, which could have amounted to $20-27 million (1.5-2 billion rubles), according to Kommersant newspaper’s previous estimates.

Sberbank notes that Jivo has already entered the company's ecosystem: entrepreneurs have received a service for communicating with their audience. The plans include even deeper integration and further development of the Jivo service.
