Sberbank's companies - SberZdorovye, SberMed AI and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory - have launched an online service for making a preliminary diagnosis using artificial intelligence.

According to a representative of the SberZdorovye service, the system has 265 different diagnoses in its memory, which covers 95% of all possible cases of diagnoses of Russians when they first go to hospitals. Recognition accuracy ranges from 75 to 91%. The service works exclusively on the basis of machine learning and relies on the expertise of doctors. The first deputy chairman of the board of Sberbank, Lev Khasis, previously called healthcare one of the essential areas of development of the group's ecosystem. According to him, the digital medicine market by 2023 could grow fivefold and amount to about 500 billion rubles. (equivalent to $6.6 billion)

Sberbank plans to take a leading position in digital healthcare based on artificial intelligence technologies by the end of this period. Industry experts interviewed by the publication call the idea correct and promising, but note that doctors, not patients, should work with this information.

To receive a consultation, the user must list the symptoms in a free form on the site, after which the system will highlight the three most likely diagnoses.
