SberDevices’s developers joined the team developing a unified standard for Matter smart home devices. It is designed to simplify and reduce the cost of development for manufacturers and make devices more accessible to consumers due to their compatibility.

The international development team already includes more than 400 companies, including Google, Amazon, Apple. It was also reported that in November 2021 Yandex had joined the team.

Sberbank’s experts note that in the future “with the help of Salyut virtual assistants, it will be possible to control not only the devices of partner companies connected to the Sber smart home platform but also the devices of manufacturers using Matter.”
