Sberbank may buy the Vprok.ru Perekrestok online supermarket owned by X5 Group. It is assumed that the operating business of Vprok.ru Perekrestok will be included in the business of Sbermegamarket and become part of a separate e-commerce holding of Sberbank.

According to experts, “the perimeter of the transaction will include the stocks and darkstores of Vprok.ru Perekrestok, but will not include other X5 online assets, such as the express delivery service. The deal will be announced by the end of February."

In turn, Sberbank clarifies that the companies are discussing the expansion of cooperation. In particular, the development of joint projects in the field of e-commerce, data architecture management, the development of cloud technologies and artificial intelligence, as well as the creation of virtual assistants.
