Sberbank has created and patented an AI system for checking the legal capacity of legal entities. The robot checks contractors by recognizing and extracting legally significant information from documents. The system checks information on bankruptcy, liquidation and reorganization of legal entities, the correctness of the information contained in the extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, whether a signatory is authorized to conclude a deal and many other parameters. The system analyzes information from more than 10 types of documents.

The legal capacity check provides findings on a customer’s key risk metrics.

The company representatives note that the solution may be in demand in different areas of business.
