Sberbank Starts Building a 55 Thousand sq.m. Data Processing Center

Sberbank has started the construction of a data processing center (DPC) with an area of ​​55 thousand square meters.

7 modules will be placed inside, each of which will be equipped with 500 19-inch 48-unit racks. During the construction, the company plans to use its own developments, including an intelligent cooling system, as well as a load management system that minimizes power consumption.

The project for the construction of a data center, which will become the first stage in the development of the federal program for the construction of a network of regional data centers of the bank, is being implemented on the territory of a special economic zone (SEZ) in Balakovo (Saratov region).

The start of construction was enacted by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and the Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of Sberbank Stanislav Kuznetsov.
