The test of unmanned vehicles without drivers in the cabin will be postponed until the first half of 2021. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to the adjusted roadmap of self-driving vehicles implementation on public roads. The document has already been finalized by the relevant ministries — the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development, and the discussion of the document in the government will begin soon.
In the first half of 2021 companies will receive permission to test unmanned vehicles in several regions of the country. Currently these tests can only be conducted in closed test areas.
