A Technopolis Moscow resident company have developed fully autonomous city bus stops with solar panels and touch screens. Touch screens will display information about the arrival and movement of transport, and the navigation interface based on the geographic information system will allow passengers to plan their routes in advance. Built-in sensors track noise levels, air pollution, temperature and humidity and automatically send the information to situation centers.

The smart bus stops are equipped with devices for wired and wireless charging, environmental monitoring system and tools for communication with city services. The built-in induction loop systems help inform hearing-impaired people that the bus is arriving.

The company has created the bus stops using Russian microelectronic solutions. The investment in the project amounted to more than 25 million rubles (409,000 dollars).

The first batch of smart bus stops is noted to be for export - it will include 20 bus stop shelters and 50 roofless bus stops. All 70 units will be manufactured and sent to Spain by the end of 2022. The company is currently preparing to launch serial production of the extended device version, adjusted to the Moscow climate.
