Smart Engines became the first developer of recognition systems based on artificial intelligence to join the United Nations Global Compact Initiative (UNGC).

The United Nations Global Compact Initiative is the major international movement aimed at engaging business structures in sustainable development activities and building a global responsible partnership between the public and government sectors.  In Russia, 74 organizations are currently parties to the treaty. By joining the UN Global Compact, the company confirms its commitment to 10 principles of sustainable development in the areas of human rights, labor relations, environmental protection and anti-corruption.

The endorsement of our entry into the Global Compact is both a declaration and confirmation that Smart Engines’ activities are being conducted in accordance with modern goals adopted in the international community. In our work, we are focused on environmental friendliness and minimizing the risks associated with the use of new technologies.

In the AI and OCR market, we are the pioneers and promoters of responsible technology development and responsible consumption ideas. We aim at creating the most efficient software and neural network solutions that reduce the energy consumption of edge devices and reduce carbon footprint. In our research, being AI OCR developer we also aim at minimizing the risk of personal data leaks and preventing confidentiality breaches.
