According to the forecasts of TAdviser, in 2022 the Russian IT market can develop according to two scenarios. Under the optimistic scenario, the market will decrease by no more than 10%. In this case, there will be near-zero dynamics of system integrators and a partial decrease in the revenue of IT distributors. Under the pessimistic scenario, there will be a more significant decline in these indicators, and the market may decrease by more than 20%.
Analysts say that the main factors of the market decline are sanctions and disruption of supply chains, suspension of activities of foreign IT companies and the economic situation as a whole. Among the key factors of market growth are the increase in import substitution projects, the increased demand for information security and support from the state.
In 2021, the growth of the IT market was 20%, and the size of the market reached 2.22 trillion rubles (equivalent to $38.36 billion). This happened largely due to the large-scale digitalization of companies and an increase in demand for information security solutions and solutions and products developed by Russian companies.
