The companies of the Moscow IT telecom industry have transferred about $1.7 billion (129.4 billion rubles) to the budget of the capital as the main tax payments. This is 20% more than last year, said Kirill Purtov, the Head of the Moscow Department of Economic Policy and Development.
“IT-telecom accounts for about seven percent of the total volume of corresponding tax revenues to the Moscow budget,” he explained.
He specified that over 15 thousand companies and individual entrepreneurs work in the IT sector of Moscow. In total, more than 6% of the total employed in the capital work in this sector.
Earlier it was reported that the volume of foreign investments in the development of infrastructure of industrial parks and technology parks in Russia over the past 10-11 years amounted to $15 billion.
