Mobile operators have begun to offer energy companies solutions for smart electricity metering and remote transmission of meter readings. Izvestia writes about it.

The devices will record the voltage level and frequency, adjust and calculate the consumption of electricity, transmit archival data, reference information and perform other functions, MTS specified. MegaFon has similar solutions.

Earlier it was reported that electricity meters, which will be installed in the homes of Russians from January 1, 2022, should only be "smart". Also in January, the development in Russia of a state standard for smart homes was announced.
