The Department for Transport and Road Infrastructure of Moscow reports via its Telegram channel that the video surveillance cameras installed in the metro will monitor the crowdedness in metro cars. The information will be available in the city mobile applications, and the passengers can choose the car with less people, the agency explains.
Moreover, by the end of the month one of stages of the FacePay system testing will be completed. The system is intended for paying passage in public transport using face scanning.
The video surveillance system started operating at all stations on September 1. The cameras have been installed in the metro since the spring of 2019.
