On July 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a companion law to the law on experimental legal regimes, which makes it possible to start the piloting of the driverless taxi services.

“Now is the most crucial stage - right now we have to work out all specific issues: how security will be ensured, how the quality of services will be assessed, how certification will be carried out, and so on,” - says the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov.

The Deputy Minister of Economic Development Vladislav Fedulov says that Moscow, the Moscow Region, Krasnodar Krai and Tatarstan will be the first regions where the testing of services under experimental legal regimes will be carried out.
