Dmitry Polishchuk, head of Yandex Self-Driving Cars and CEO of Yandex SDG, was included in the list of “100 people who transformed business”. The list was compiled by Business Insider.

Polishchuk is called a veteran of Yandex, where he started to work 12 years ago. During this time, he was also engaged in Yandex.Maps and Yandex.Browser.

In 2016, he proposed to the idea of ​​developing self-driving vehicles to the company’s management team.

According to Polishchuk, he hopes to see Yandex’s self-driving cars safely roam the streets of Moscow in rush hour within 3-5 years.

In September 2020, Yandex announced its plans to invest $150 million in self-driving cars and create a separate company in this area - Yandex Self-Driving Group.
