According to Kommersant, the Ministry of Health and Rostec have created the first version of the federal AI platform for healthcare.
The project will combine anonymized and labeled medical data into verified datasets, and provide IT companies with a platform for developing and testing AI services.
The “Federal Integrated Electronic Medical Record” (a subsystem of the Unified State Health Information System) will be the main source of data. The medical information accumulated in national medical research centers subordinate to the Ministry of Health will also be used by the platform. These medical research centers include the A.V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Center of Surgery, the N.N.Blokhin Cancer Research Center, the National Medical Research Center of Endocrinology, the Almazov National Medical Research Center and the N.N. Burdenko National Medical Research Center of Neurosurgery.
According to Rostec, it is possible to create 14 archives for diagnostic radiology and 10 archives for pathomorphology using the data collected by research centers. On their basis, datasets for interpreting imaging and histologic studies data will be created. These datasets will be the first ones to be placed on the platform.
The market participants noted earlier in a conversation with ICT.Moscow the key issues for the full-fledged operation of the platform are data anonymization, data quality, and also how the process of accessing data will be carried out.
