The turnover of online payments for goods and services in Moscow for the 11 months of 2021 reached 51%, reaching $90.5 million (6.8 trillion rubles). This is a 1.5-fold increase in comparison with 2020.
In particular, in the insurance field, the percentage of online payments amounted to 87%, or $6.3 billion (478.2 billion rubles), for travel agencies - 82%, or $5.6 billion (424.5 billion rubles), in online education - 60%, or $684 million (51.3 billion rubles). Fields where the percentage of online payments is less than 50% are retail trade - 34%, or $21 billion (1.6 trillion rubles), wholesale trade - 49%, or $3.3 billion (251.7 billion rubles), hotel business - less than 14%, or $146.6 million (11 billion rubles), postal and courier delivery - about 9% 117.1 million (8.8 billion rubles).
The growth of online payments helped increase the demand for internet acquiring services.
