The Urban Air Mobility Control Center, created by the Moscow Innovation Cluster and the Skolkovo Foundation, will become the operator of the testing area for autonomous aerial systems. The center will select the participants, control the admission of pilots and aircraft, provide safety and security and also control the technical condition of equipment.
Flights of unmanned aerial vehicles will be tested in Skolkovo at 100 m height within an area of 400 hectares. Cases related to the delivery, monitoring of infrastructure facilities, urban mobility systems will be worked out during the project.
The project will be implemented within the regulatory sandbox, which launch is currently under discussion. 27 companies have submitted applications for the testing of unmanned aerial vehicles.
